Everyone could use some time away once in a while. When you’re looking to make it an off the beaten path journey to Park City to experience somewhere scenic and refreshing, there’s no better place to land than Park City, Utah. Here, you can indulge in experiences that are further from the crowds, all while knowing the bustling city life is within reach whenever you want it.

Day 1

On the first day of your off the beaten path journey to Park City, treat yourself to time exploring the Trailside Bike Park. Here, you can explore on foot or two wheels but either way, you’ll be immersed in nature and privy to some great bird spotting too. You can access the bike park off the Silver Summit exit on Highway 40 and it’s a great choice for those who are looking to ride leisurely or are up for a challenge alike.

After lunch, head over to Utah Olympic Park where you can leave the outdoor crowds behind by spending time exploring the free museum on-site. These are set up to showcase Olympic history and provide a comprehensive overview of the athletic experience in Utah. The museum is open daily from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm making it an easy addition to your first-day itinerary.

Dine at Riverhorse on Main

This evening, treat your tastebuds in style with a meal enjoyed at Riverhorse on Main. This eatery is a great place to order up steaks, pasta, and seafood alike and the wine list is not to be missed. If you’re looking for a quiet place to settle in and savor your meal, be sure to request a table by the second story windows where you can take a moment and do some people-watching over Main Street too.

Day 2

The second day of your stay in Park City is going to be dedicated to time on the water. After breakfast, link up with the team at All Seasons Adventures to enjoy a private guided kayaking tour that’s sure to inspire. If you prefer to kayak independently and at your own pace, renting a kayak and heading to the Jordanelle Reservoir is another great option. Here, many visitors come with a paddleboard in hand to make it a more leisurely afternoon on the water as well. Either way, you’re in for a spectacular time out on the waves.

This afternoon, make your way to Deer Valley for a scenic chairlift ride that’s one-of-a-kind. During the spring and summer, the chairlifts here are free of charge to enjoy and always showcase spectacular mountain views from a bird’s eye perspective. It’s a wonderfully refreshing way to take in the sights without having to contend with the crowds. Just be sure to have your camera in hand because you’re bound to encounter sights you’re going to want to remember long after you’ve left Park City.

Dine at Versante

When you’re looking to save on savory selections, be sure to be at Versante by 4:00 pm when their appetizers and pizzas are half price! The wood-fired pizzas served up here are always a delight and appetizer selections include everything from spinach and artichoke dip to shishito peppers.

Day 3

The last day of your off the beaten path Park City adventure will take you 10,000 feet up in elevation to Blood Lake. The trail leading to the lake is only moderately difficult making it a great choice for trekkers of varying skill levels. In total, the area comes with over 2 miles of wilderness to explore and some truly breathtaking views which makes this one of the best trails in Park City.

Once you’ve had your fill of outdoor fun, make your way to the High West Distillery and book yourself a tour and a tasting session. It’s a great way to learn more about the production process and also enjoy a delicious moment you truly deserve.

Dine at Tupelo

Tonight, you’ll enjoy dining at Tupelo, where the menu features home-grown ingredients and the Southern-influenced comfort food comes with great views. Here, the ambiance is set with dark wood tables and moody lighting, making it simple to settle in and relax with fantastic flavors.
